August 2015 Paper Pumpkin

I am in LOVE with this month's Paper Pumpkin subscription box.

This month, I decided to change the projects, just a little.

I cute the original cards down an 1/8th of an inch and added Basic Black and Very Vanilla as the base. I was able to double the number of cards by doing this... But you don't have to make changes, because the cards are beautiful with the original instructions.

I kept the boxes the same, but added a little more depth by cutting into the top layer of the flower petals, so that I could make them have a little more of a curve.

Never heard of Paper Pumpkin, and want to know more.

Paper pumpkin is a monthly craft subscription box for $19.95 (including shipping).  Click here if you want to know more.  Until September 10th, you can get two months for half off! Just use promo code HALFOFF and when it asks for your demonstrator, please remember me Sarah Morel.

Thanks and Happy Stamping!

Halloween Gift Ideas

It has been a little to long since I have spent time designing cards and 3D paper projects.  So here are the promised crafts I made this weekend.
I really enjoy when Stampin' Up! releases the holiday catalog.  It's so much fun playing around with the new stamps and framelits.

The best part about these projects is, I didn't have to cut anything out thanks for the die cut framelits that matches the stamps.  Thank you Stampin' Up! for saving me from the painstaking scissor cutting.

Here are all the items that I used for the projects.  They will be available on September 1st for everyone.

~Square Pillow Box Thinlits Die and A little Something Stamp Set Bundle 140859.
~Happy Haunting Designer Series Paper 139584.
~Happy Haunting Cardstock Pack 139585.
~Chocolate Chip Stampin Pad 126979.
~Gift Bag Punch Board 135862.
~Memento Pad 132708.

I also used my clear blocks, my cutter, adhesive and some ribbon.

My Paper Pumpkin

So....I am truly the most unmotivated person there is.... I subscribe to My Paper Pumpkin which is Stampin' Up's monthly craft surprise kit.  Each kit should take 30 minites to complete, but I always add a little of me to each kit.   So here is the kit I started and finished today!  I really had a great Mother's Day, my wonderful husband took me to breakfast and gave me the rest of the day to craft, so I was able to finish my sample for my next class (just a bunch of girls getting together to stamp, everyone brings something to share!).  Well enough of my randomness.  Hopefully you enjoy my pictures!  One day I will get my Etsy store up and running and I can clear out my massive inventory of cards.  Let me know if you have any question or things I can improve on๐Ÿ˜€

To change the original design, I used the following Stampin' Up! products.

2-3/8" Circle Scallop Punch

1-3/4" Circle Scallop Punch

Basic Black 8-1/2" X 11" Card Stock

Calypso Coral 8-1/2" X 11" Card Stock

Simple stems

Well another Saturday well spent,  I was able to prep all my packages and make my samples a few weekends out, which gives me time to make favors for the class.

So I used the Simple Stems stamp set from the Celebrate the Everyday catalog and DSP from Sale-A-Bration.  I a believer in little embellishments and lots of layers, and the color coach (the key to using colors out of my comfort zone).

Let me know you want my tricks for making these cards.  Happy stamping.
